This spring, embrace new beginnings, new life and fresh starts. Nothing quite buoys us on quite like a new spray to spritz. So what’s new this spring for us to caress ourselves with?
Kenzo this season draws inspiration from Japan’s most emblematic vibrant colour, indigo blue, and enfolds it in two new fragrances.
Extracted from the leaves of the indigo tree, this pigment has been used since the dawn of time to dye Japanese fabrics. Blue has always been one of the house’s fashion codes, alongside red, its signature hue.
The Ikebana Flower collection is a tribute to ikebana, the ancestral Japanese art of “giving life to flowers”. Each fragrance reflects Kenzo Takada’s absolute love of flowers. This season we find the third opus in this collection, one for women and one for men.
This time it gives pride of place to the Iris, this fascinating blue flower nicknamed “the blue gold of perfumery” epitomises the indigo hue.
Utilising one of the most precious of all flowers, the Iris Pallida variety was chosen for the new fragrance and is the most expensive raw ingredient in perfumers’ palettes. Did you know? Three years need to be given over to the cultivation in order to fully receive its powdery glory.
Here find one a triple olfactory dimension of top, heart and base notes, the other mirror of the scent is in a perfect floral balance of verticality, horizontality and depth.
A composition by perfumers Ane Ayo and Florian Gallo, is an intense amber floral. The new composition opens with an original, custom-created “indigo ink” accord: an overdose of Ambrox, Incense and Black Fruits that reinterprets the scent of the ink used to dye textiles.
Its intensity of mineral tones calls forth a floral heart of Pallida Iris concrete and Morning Jasmine. Picked at dawn and still gorged with night dew, this budding Sambac Jasmine offers maximum olfactory intensity.
In the base notes, Matcha Tea reinforces the powdery elegance of Iris, Blue Vanilla from the Bourbon Islands (one of the most exceptional in the world) and lends a surprisingly smoky, almost leather note.
“For FLOWER INDIGO, we wanted to translate the emblematic Japanese blue through an Iris tinged with Indigo Ink. Halfway between tradition and modernity, it sings the encounter between the timeless elegance of an Iris-Jasmine duo and the mineral sensuality of ink and blue Vanilla, for an intense, refined floral creation”

As for Kenzo Homme Indigo, it is a scent that invites you to challenge traditional notions of masculinity and explore something fresh.
More than just a fragrance, Kenzo Homme Indigo is remarkable with 95% natural ingredients within and comes with a commitment to regenerative agriculture, this fragrance supports the planet.
Much like the bamboo shoot, in Japan, the elegant Iris is held as a symbol of masculinity. It naturally made an impression on Kenzo Takada, the founder of the House, who was a great lover of flowers. During a conversation with designer Serge Mansau, who created the line’s first bottle in 1991, Kenzo Takada evoked this association:
“Serge asked me: for you, what is a fragrance for men? The symbol of man in Japan? I answered: Irises and Blue Bamboo. There’s a festival every May 5th in Japan to celebrate the coming of age of young boys, which features Blue Bamboo and Irises.”
Kenzo Takada
Another celebration of this flower meets here with the iconic strength of Bamboo, and here lends its shape to a precious bottle.
Perfumer Quentin Bisch, has captured the essence of this Iris to create it and used the wide-range signature of a Marine Accord, adding a heart of Iris with creamy, woody, and musky facets, enticing like the scent of clean skin emerging from the water. In the base, a leather accord with smoky accents blends with powerful Akigala and Sandalwoods to heighten the sensuality of the trail.
Now if this isn’t exciting enough, next up we have another twin release. Valentino Born in Roma extradose. The Donna is a floral-ambery fragrance, created by an extradose of vanilla with liquor-like and addictive notes for an extra-addiction.
As night falls on the eternal city, let yourself be whisked away to a Roman palazzo, and discover a new chapter of Born in Roma story with Born in Roma Extradose. Born in Roma Extradose pushes the boundaries even further, to enter an intense experience with our highest concentration, and pursue the addiction of Born in Roma & Born in Roma Intense fragrances. The bottle pays tribute to the iconic Valentino Rockstud. This edgy pyramidal design, inspired by Roman architecture, is a house signature of Maison Valentino.
Opening with the deliciously playful note of Cassis accord (blackcurrant), bringing a sensual yet juicy moment.

This melds with a highly concentrated rhum accord brings a powerful facet, revealing this liquor-like note, and therefore highlighting a tender facet.
Yet the base becomes the thrill here with an intense ‘extradose’ of Vanilla, totally ramping up the magnetic scent of Born in Roma while giving intensity and addiction to the scent.
Its gentlemanly accompaniment is a fougère woody ambery fragrance, created by an ‘extradose’ this time of delicious rooty grassy Vetiver, amplified by intensely spicy notes and Lavandin for an extra seduction.
Opening with sparkling and unique spicy Ginger note revealing its full freshness while the fragrance unfolds and blends with bright Bergamot and Mandarin.
Its heart, a multitude of sophisticated Lavandin, twisted with salty notes, transporting you through the magnetic fields of Provence. And finally, its crescendo is of the essence of a Vetiver and Guaiac wood, amplifying the warm and leathery atmosphere.

Sabrina Carpenter’s beautifully designed perfume containers that mimic a chocolate bar have been added to this spring, Me Espresso, here blending rich coffee notes with delicate florals for a bold, new experience.
Inspired by her viral hit “Espresso,” it combines the warmth of Espresso, Cocoa, and Cappuccino with the elegance of Vanilla Orchid and Jasmine, offering a unique and inclusive scent that’s perfect for spring.
With this fragrance, you’re not just making an impression, you’re leaving a lasting mark. Created by perfumer Gil Clavien, it starts out with Cappuccino Smell-the-Taste™, Cocoa Powder and the bold, addictive aroma of Espresso Bean.

This deep, roasted essence is beautifully complemented in the heart by the sensual, floral notes of Vanilla Orchid and Night-blooming Jasmine that add a touch of mystery and sophistication alongside notes of Biscotti.
The dry-down of Caramel Drizzle, Sugared Amber and Whipped Cream leaves a lasting impression of indulgent elegance, rounding out this Gourmand Eau de Parfum that is your invitation to savour life’s rich moments with style and allure.
Zadig&Voltaire Zadig For Her Intense is in keeping with the wish for many to really fully express themselves through more powerful versions of beloved perfumes. Built not by adding more of the same in higher levels but by delicate yet masterful hands bringing new facets that work in alchemy to highlight original favourites.
Perfumers Amandine Clerc-Marie and Florian Gallo followed their instincts and broke with conventions to create this woody floral. Ten years after the launch of THIS IS HER!, ZADIG unveils a new interpretation of vanilla, so at the heart of Zadig&Voltaire. It’s Magnetic, solar and Surprising.
A perfume of Black and white and so Rock and Roll.
The olfactory powerhouse begins with an interplay of contrast. The White Sesame Accord reveals its character and asserts its singularity. Here, of course, at odds and yet in perfect harmony with a Black Sesame accord, it joins a magnetic, highly surprising and innovative duo. Its olfactory push is its fiery Ginger notes.
Its heart brings the most feminine of notes including soft green florals of Orange blossom alongside Neroli essence, an Orange blossom water, and an Orange blossom absolute. Giving a lively feminism to its centre.
It meets at its end in the dichotomy of soft and hard. Sandalwood is fused with both soft creamy Chantilly and Vanilla notes bringing an addictive finale to its base. An echo of the openness that comes with the birth of spring this scent encourages us to get out there and live.
Lastly of the look of the bottle draws you in as much as the scent the All Saints perfume collection will inspire. The latest to add to the collection is Shoreditch Leather.
All three scents in the fragrance collection capture the essence of a rebellious spirit and individuality. The fragrances are a true reflection of the brand, centred around attitude and feelings, with collections designed to make people look and feel good and recognisably AllSaint. Each bottle is wrapped in a leather sleeve, and a bolt-shaped lid adding to its Rock and Roll coolness.
Inspired by the beauty of an All Saints leather jacket, Shoreditch Leather comes with of course a delightful Leather Accord. Gradiented allowing movement from light to dark tones.
The scent starts with the fresh and spicy scent of Elemi, from the elemi tree which interestingly is often used as a base note but here brings citrusy resinous spice to the opening. Here combined with another spice Saffron, brings a suede-like facet and added into the mix find fresh Rosewater bringing a slightly floral aroma.
Then comes the all-important Leather Accord, which has been paired with sheer Jasmine, and soft creamy Sandalwood.
For the dry-down, a variety of luxurious notes meld. Here, it’s from rooty Vetiver, earthy Patchouli Essence, to warm Amber, a perfect yin-yang of chic and rebellion.
This Chypre Leather Woody scent sits perfectly in the story with Sunset Riot an Amber Woody Floral and Ravaged Roise a Floral Fruity Rose.

Our final flourish for new fragrances finishes with flowers. Gucci Bloom adds to its roster with a Parfum that again celebrates a garden filled with abundant flora and fauna.
Here in the exquisite hands of perfumer Alberto Morillas, find a bundle of beautiful white blooms. Here alongside the cluster of white are facets of Vanilla with a shine-like Amber flourish.
Like its sister before this Coral Jasmine and new co-extraction Tuberose essence is made bolder with its intense solar Amber bouquet, infusing a golden, gourmand edge with Peru Balsam Extract.
This Peru Balsam Extract with its balsamic, warm, ambery, resinous, facets alongside Vanilla brings a deeper richness when sitting with the Amber meaning the perfume becomes longer lasting and more intense.
Ultimately, the interplay of soft, powdery Floral Blossoms with gentle spice, woody, balsamic elements and ambery warmth brings together a final flourish of floral, creamy solar warmth.
Spring embarks on new beginnings, each with the fusion of different wonders of nature and highly complex fragrance extraction and compilation. From Kenzo’s refined masculinity to Sabrina Carpenter’s warm indulgence and Valentino’s intense allure, this season invites you to break free, going as far as embracing the rock and roll spirit of All Saints. Indulge in the fusion of unique aromas and create your own signature identity this spring
