Did you watch the film reservoir dogs for the first time and feel blown away? For many, it was an introduction not just to a seemingly new genre but a whole new style of directing. Receiving rave reviews when it first aired in cinemas it introduced the world to the film-maker, Quentin Tarantino the American film director, screenwriter, producer, film critic, and actor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His films are characterized by nonlinear storylines, black humour, large amounts of violence, extended yet natural dialogue, with many references to Popular Culture that literally ‘burst’ off the screen. From January 2022 the tv site GREAT! movies<\/em> have announced that respected film critic, scriptwriter and broadcaster, Andrew Collins, is joining the free-to-air movies channel to present Spotlight<\/em>, a new featured segment highlighting the channel\u2019s forthcoming top movies including cult classics, hidden gems, and the best that Hollywood has to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spotlight<\/em> will shed new light on the month\u2019s movie highlights for the channel\u2019s devoted movie audience, helping viewers to find must-see movies or giving further insight into the ones that they\u2019ve already watched and want to appreciate again and again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting from Friday 7th January 2022, Spotlight <\/em>will be shown just before select flagship movies, with Andrew Collins introducing a very special season of Quentin Tarantino\u2019s finest films, , as part of a weekly Friday Night Film Club. The season includes his Chinese box of a film, Pulp Fiction<\/em>, both parts of the blood-soaked Kill Bill <\/em>duology, and the underrated masterpiece Jackie Brown<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in January 2022, Andrew Collins will also be shining his spotlight on Mark Wahlberg and Jason Statham in the remake of The Italian Job<\/em>, and Tim Burton\u2019s reimagining of Planet of the Apes<\/em>, starring Mark Walhberg and Helena Bonham Carter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lives of two mob hitmen (John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson), a boxer (Bruce Willis), a gangster (Ving Rhames) and his wife (Uma Thurman), and a pair of diner bandits (Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer) intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
