Now it seems some of its very core spiritsares making a comeback? The fire, it seems, is still burning to keep the punk spirit alive.  <em>Wake Up Punk<\/em>, is a documentary highlighting how punk has evolved through time. Since the beginning, this revolutionary movement has a &#8220;young mindset&#8221;<em>.<\/em><strong> <\/strong>This film demonstrates that the values coming from the Punk revolution have always been alive and always will be. Punks are, of course, passionate, raging, and full of doubts and fears together feeding the need for change. These people<em> <\/em>are part of a generation burning for change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, the symbolic act of burning is not new today, it\u2019s been used for years as a way for artists to deliver a message. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/WAKE-UP-PUNK-FINAL-HI-RES.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"826\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/WAKE-UP-PUNK-FINAL-HI-RES.jpg?resize=580%2C826&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-112483\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/WAKE-UP-PUNK-FINAL-HI-RES.jpg?w=682&amp;ssl=1 682w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/WAKE-UP-PUNK-FINAL-HI-RES.jpg?resize=211%2C300&amp;ssl=1 211w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">For Joe Corre (the son of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood) &nbsp;punk had become a commodity and by evolving into that it no longer stood for its true essence.  most definitely thinks so. In 2016 as a protest he burnt millions of pounds worth of punk-era memorabilia<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">This new documentary by Nigel Askew<strong> <\/strong>recalls the energy and anarchy of the punk era and gives a voice to Corre\u2019s fear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Yet happily it also finds hope that the punk spirit survives through those who support protest movements, for climate change, hunger and other important social issues<em>.<\/em>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">This intimate film <em>Wake Up Punk<\/em>, we get to follow the values of a family through Vivienne Westwood and her two sons, alongside the memory of their father and husband, Malcolm McLaren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Back in 1994, the artist duo K Foundation Burn a Million Quid as a piece of performance<strong>.<\/strong> Of course, it raised questions, why would they do that? What are the values and the power of money?
