You walk into a store, and something is up, but you can\u2019t quite make out what. Have you already been here? Surely no, you would\u2019ve remembered. So how come you feel at home here? What is that smell? Fragrant Scents hold such power that they can alter our day-to-day life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smell is the strongest human sense. So much so, that it heavily impacts our perception of taste. Likewise, our smell is so powerful that it affects our emotions, perception, and memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is caused by the proximity of the neuron receptors for smell to the brain. They are particularly close to the part of the brain in charge of memory retention and the limbic system which controls emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flowers, as we know, are beautiful to gaze at but much of our connection may be that moment when we dip our noses into a bunch for a deep breath in, to savour their Fragrant Scents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is believed that 75% of emotions are generated by smell. When knowing this, it makes sense for brands to utilise it. This practice is called scent marketing or olfactory marketing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
