Sometimes it is to relate to the modern era of filmmaking or that a director thinks they can make the original better or even the film the first time is spo0ken in a lesser-known language so the idea of the remake is to bring it to a wider audience Sometimes the modern versions are successful but sometimes they are total failures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The image on the left The Front Page (1974) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Internal Affairs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Take for example a film that was successful in its original format but the remake was also a success.&#8221;Internal Affairs&#8221;  made in Hong Kong was released in 2002 and was co-directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Infernal Affairs (2002) ORIGINAL TRAILER [HD 1080p]\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GNCv6zj8tIg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The film was a success as it grossed $160,356 at the box office on the opening day.  In total, worldwide, the film grossed $8,836,958 across releases in both domestic markets and European theatres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Interestingly, the remake which involved a renaming to &#8220;The Departed&#8221; was released in 2006 directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon. Nugent of the New York called the film \u201cone of the year\u2019s best shows\u201d.
