Graff, a world renowned, master jeweller, has released new fragrances to honour the Lesedi La Rona, a 1,019 carat rough stone and the second largest ever found. Found in Botswana, ‘Lesedi La Rona’ means \u201cour light\u201d in Tswana, the official language. The rough stone contained 67 gemstones in total, offering a surplus of high quality diamonds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The largest diamond, contained within the rough stone, stands at a whopping 301 carats and is the largest emerald cut diamond in the world. Named Graff Lesedi La Rona, it has both the highest colour and clarity ever certified by the Gemological Institute of America. <\/p>\n\n\n

It’s this diamond that Graff has chosen to honour with their new collection of perfumes, also named Lesedi La Rona. Graff knew that in order to live up to the incredible diamond, the perfumes had to be perfect. Experts searched high and low, country to country, for the finest ingredients the world has to offer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each note selected was intentional, just like the diamonds, the care, and knowledge used to create this product is unmatched. This perfume is designed to bring the same feelings of wonder and joy that’s experienced while wearing these elegant jewels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lesedi La Rona IX reflects the same characterises as the Golden Empress diamond, giving off a distinct golden colour. Containing notes such as Bergamot, Ginger, Cardamom, and Black Tea emitting a warm, spiced, and luxurious aroma. This woody spicy Amber scent opens with bright fizz from both Bergamot and Ginger, as well as warmth with softest spice via Cardamom<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its beating heart becomes a den of the best flowers, spices and woods melding together Jasmine, Rosewood, again gentle spicey warmth of Cinnamon and a spike of herbal Clarisage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The finale brings gourmand notes alongside wood. Cutting through the sweet creamy even smokey Tonka Bean is Black Tea and heightening the spice here is clove, this Clove note is a by-product derived from the food industry<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its counterpart, the Lesedi La Rona X has a deep amber colour with notes of Leather, Cedarwood, Rose Petals, and Vetiver. This scent has a deep wood smell along with a hidden sweetness that lingers on the skin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deeper than its sister fragrance, This amber-style EDP opens with a sparkle, and richness immediately from a deep Leather accord, Mandarin and fruity powdery Geranium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its heart is of regal flowers with a Rose Petal essence and the grand dame that is Jasmine tied together with soft Cedarwood. Then the rich almost boozy base rises with Citrus labdanum, Benzoin, Vanilla, Vetiver, and Tonka giving a gourmand twist as it comes with a rich rooty note and resinous after-glow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A perfume not for the faint-hearted rich layered distinguished and delicious, its layers demand you keep sniffing and its warmth and fruity amberyness make it quite addictive. <\/p>\n\n\n

Their ode to the Lesedi La Rona diamond is also echoed in the bottle specifically made for this fragrance. Each side is shaped into an emerald cut, with the cap of the perfume made to seem like a replica of the 301-carat, Graff Lesedi La Rona. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
