But here we add praise and say stand up Amber Valletta. The American supermodel who before most, championed the greener ways forward in fashion and activism. Her latest venture is her fourth collection with Karl Lagerfeld. Amber Valletta is still one of the most recognizable faces of the original supermodels. During the 1990s she appeared 13 times on the cover of American Vogue, <\/em> and she started her acting career with roles in 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valletta serves as the spokesperson for Oceana’s Seafood Contamination Campaign, to raise awareness of the dangers of mercury poisoning in various kinds of seafood.  She serves as British Vogue\u2019s contributing sustainability editor and has participated in several of Jane Fonda\u2019s Fire Drill Fridays protests in Washington, DC, where she has been arrested a few times alongside other activists. Amber Valletta <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working with MIRUM<\/em>\u00ae was an intentional decision to blend style while minimizing the environmental impact by deliberately avoiding the use of PU (polyurethane), a common synthetic material used as an alternative to leather in accessories and bag production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MIRUM<\/em>\u00ae is a plastic-free alternative to leather, a low-carbon, biobased, tunable material for creative expression. It is durable and is coloured uniquely with plant and mineral pigments. It can incorporate varied natural filler ingredients for a huge range of tones, shine, texture, grain, thickness and fragrance. All this makes it the perfect green material for bags. entirely free from fossil fuels and is made from responsibly harvested natural rubber and plant-based oils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, it is distinguished by its lack of petrochemical-derived carbon, so it is designed for a circular life cycle, allowing it to be recycled or to naturally decompose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on the success of the previous KARL LAGERFELD<\/a> x AMBER VALLETTA collections (2021-2023), this Pre-Fall 2024 capsule elevates the standard for a more sustainable fashion choice.
