Maybe you asked another family member, or you had a family member who talked about the subject. And then there is the family you create for yourself; families in less conventional forms. Your family can be whoever you want to be. In many ways, our media has explored this unit in its many diverse forms. Why not explore some new film releases for 2025 in <em>The New Family Tree: Love These New Films For 2025.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-635e7c42581d3a17f12e92d8cbcfee2c wp-block-paragraph\"><br \/>Perhaps your family was a little less traditional than some. Maybe you have one parent instead of two, step-parents and siblings, two mothers, two fathers, family friends who became like parental figures, or even friends who made up your own personal tribe. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/family-movie-night\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>families<\/strong><\/a> can be whatever we choose to make them up as.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-40015982f691e0d37ab27cc710365cf1 wp-block-paragraph\">No matter the components, family trees are always changing and sprouting new branches &#8211; maybe you&#8217;ve even planted a cutting of your own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a853aa04b1479e5fac8c97537b1c8f31 wp-block-paragraph\">We see the modern family portrayed in many creative outlets, from a barrage of family Instagram accounts to a sitcom literally called &#8220;Modern Family.&#8221; From historical artworks to <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/the-expression-of-love-how-tenderness-is-represented-in-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>songs<\/strong><\/a>, families in all their forms are expressed through many creative mediums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-435179192d3dbc7ac3c7f02033771733 wp-block-paragraph\">Films, too, can show families in the modern sense and illustrate connection and emotional bonds. A number of films released in 2025 explore different ideas of family &#8211; from estranged brothers to piano tutors, from art co-thieves to a little grey cat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b61a564d2475db0811cdcafac246fcb1 wp-block-paragraph\"><br \/><strong>New Films 2025 &#8211; Mothers and Daughters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6ab1fb39c31eb22d87b1d7a5efceac45 wp-block-paragraph\">Gaby Delal\u2019s upcoming film <a href=\"https:\/\/parkavenuemovie.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cPark Avenue\u201d<\/a> centres on an estranged mother-daughter duo, played by Fiona Shaw and Katherine Waterson, as they sort through their differences and pasts against New York\u2019s Upper East Side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3e6658656738979ed8f58952fb5437b4 wp-block-paragraph\">The film, which played at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Dublin International Film Festival this year, will be in theatres from November 14. When Christy is thrown out of his foster home, he comes to live with Shane in Cork, building connections with the community and reconnecting with other family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-14cf11480e17fc609891197b7ad371c0 wp-block-paragraph\">But Shane wants better for his brother &#8211; more than he thinks Christy will get from his working-class community and &#8220;more corrupting&#8221; family member. When three men arrive at a safehouse after an art heist, they realise their fourth team member is missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-554ee1ff112c8128b5c569b67ef4017a wp-block-paragraph\">What follows is a horror-esque thriller, with nods to Greek mythology and the constant question of whether one of \u201cour own\u201d could commit the unspeakable &#8211; and what we\u2019d do in response. These span from South Queensferry\u2019s Burry Man to East Sussex\u2019s yearly bonfire to Staffordshire\u2019s horn dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0be4d0c811a0a3c44633b5855ee628c6 wp-block-paragraph\">Brewis made a point to have those who partake in the traditions tell their stories, as opposed to an outside presenter.
