Who doesn’t dream of a sabbatical? Taking time out from the hurely burly world of work. Just walking away and going enough… What a joyous thing to be able to do. It’s in these moments of quietness<\/a><\/strong>, whenever we can get them, that make us all happiest of all. But it’s often these times when we get our best inspiration. It’s as if being kind to ourslves pay multiple rewards. It was just this situation that Mark and Liz Warom did, and from that very experience, had a eureka moment of creating the home spa house Templespa. Every year come the seasonal period, they create beautiful gift sets. So we asked them how they do it. Find out more in Your Body Is a Templespa so Love it Back<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time of year, brands are creating gift sets to rival all gift sets. Yet one of the nicest things is that the container should be as lovely as the gifts inside it. Templespa excel every festive season with sets that are beautifully designed so that even when the products have been enjoyed and finished, the box stays as something beautiful <\/a><\/strong>you want to keep. So we asked them about their creative process.<\/p>\n\n\n

Can you tell us a little about the stunning images you have used on your Christmas packaging<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TEMPLESPA is a British science-led skincare brand. Our products are a fusion of derma-science technology, along with the warmth of Mediterranean-infused ingredients. This region is often where we go for design inspiration as it is so rich in colours, textures, scents and flavours. Mediterranean botanicals, fruit and vegetables captured our imagination; all the colours, shapes and textures, but also for the benefits they deliver to the skin, how nourishing and nutritious they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How far in advance do you, as a team, think about the visuals for the gifting?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our product development and design teams start working on the collection design up to 18 months before the launch. Christmas never stops at TEMPLESPA!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who and how do you go about choosing the theme you will use<\/em><\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We love to chat at TEMPLESPA, so the whole process<\/a><\/strong> is really organic and usually happens around a table. Our owners, Liz & Mark Warom, our product development team and our design team all sit together and brainstorm. We all share our ideas, and they can come from anywhere: a memory, an experience, a feeling, a book, it’s often just a little spark that turns into the most stunning design.<\/p>\n\n\n

Why is the visual so important at Christmas?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas is a highly emotional season tied to many feelings such as joy, nostalgia or generosity. Beautiful packaging enhances the emotional experience, making the gift feel more special and thoughtful. The design has to appeal to the person buying it, as well as the person receiving it. A visually striking design shows quality and care, which elevates the perceived value of the gift. At TEMPLESPA, we also want to make sure that every one of our designs reflects our unique brand identity<\/a><\/strong>, blending science with soul.<\/p>\n\n\n

Who makes the images, and do you shoot them or work with images already available? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are really lucky at TEMPLESPA, we have a super talented team of in-house designers who draw every illustration featured on our packaging. So the process starts with a pencil and is then further enhanced by various digital techniques. We like to create our own designs; that’s really important to us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Temple Spa\u00a0was\u00a0founded in 2000 by husband-and-wife team\u00a0Mark and Liz Warom, who drew inspiration for their luxury skincare brand from a sabbatical spent exploring the Mediterranean lifestyle, culminating in a “eureka” moment in Cyprus where they decided to combine their beauty industry experience (including working for The Body Shop and Virgin Vie) with a wellness focus rooted in Mediterranean <\/a><\/strong>botanicals. They launched the brand with a “Spa to Go” ethos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So maybe it’s time to claim your space in the bathroom for yourself or give someone else the gift of time this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
