Often, towards the second half of the decade, we notice hints and ideas that quietly start to emerge as to where our world will shift in the coming new decade<\/a><\/strong>. As we move into 2026, there are already clues as to what we all want to see going forward. After quite a few rough years, we want to see positivity reign again, and so we find ourselves asking for something a little more meaningful, a little bit more personal and something not everyone can have. We want to have fun again and to step out of the shadows, and we are ready to be seen in all our bright, beautiful, fabulous and passionate glory. Technolgy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our world is changing so quickly that it’s hard for many of us to cope; fast-moving AI, not long ago a concept, and now a reality here at superfast speed, is being implemented into our daily lives. As we navigate these historic milestones, many of which have been rather negative and which we are so happy to see left behind, we see several ideas that feel positive, new joyous beginnings that are rising up and are far more in keeping with our new life-values that include love, joy and passion. One of the most important aspects of the new world is that we are reflecting<\/a><\/strong> inwards on what really matters to us as individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individualism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2026, as society focuses more on individualism and personal well-being, we are beginning to centre ourselves with sustainable personal growth, rejection of “hustle culture” and a move towards balance and sustainable habits. Happiness is a huge part of this. Individuals are consciously reclaiming their attention from digital noise, leading to more deliberate screen time limits and “digital detoxes. People now crave hyper-personalisation; they want to hear something directed at them. Enough of the one-size-fits-all approach, it’s time for what suits me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chanel’s latest makeup collection, Rouge-Noir, is the perfect antidote to the greys, beiges and general dullness in our luscious world of cosmetics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The colour was virtually created at the catwalk show as creative force and make-up artist Heidi Morawetz mixed black and red to create the effect she was looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting out with lips, the Rouge Allure Velvet comes in three tones, Rouge Noir, Irreverente and Effrontee& Audacieuse, with the names hinting strongly at the potency of these three colourways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eyes, the windows to our souls, come up next, starting with the most divine shade for our lashes <\/a><\/strong>to flutter all the better with, meet the Noir Allure Mascara in Rouge Noir; the mix of the two tones is powerful yet has an elegant soft edge.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Rouge Noir Confidence Multi-use <\/strong>Palette is a four-tonal set of expressions of Rouge Noir\u2019s shades. Made up of a magenta shade, a
mauve pink shade, pearly rosy white and a Sienna red shade with pink shimmer. Each encased with purpose, from shadow to highlight, the eyes become beacons of power. Here they are, the paradox of soft and hard, light and dark and they purposely play against each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For individual hints of colours, the Ombre Essentiell eyeshadow palettes offer up two shades: Gris Rose, a soft pink-metallic and Brun Rose, a satin mauve-brown<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for a final punch of steelyness comes the Stylo Yeux waterproof eyeliner, which comes in a Gris Graphic, a satin silver grey and Rouge Noir <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last added glow for the face comes from the Baume Essentiel Multi-use glow Stick, which, for this collection, is a fresh soft mauve pink, bringing a luminous hint of radiance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hands always play a huge part in the story of make-up, and of course, as the Noir Rouge started out with varnish, no collection would be complete without new colours. The trio of power colours include Rouge Noir, Performer, a lively and licious magenta and Modernist, a neutral slate grey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
