Britain sends sports brand Umbro, football brand Mitre, Gilbert Rugby, tailoring from Huntsman and Anderson & Sheppard, Jam and Marmalade from Tiptree, Robertson’s, and the freedom of the English garden into French life. At the same time, France responded with its Champagne, luxury houses, and beauty rituals. Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Herm\u00e8s drift across the Channel alongside bottles of La Roche-Posay<\/a><\/strong>, Vichy, and Av\u00e8ne, gently crossing paths with footballs, fabrics, and gardens travelling from England in the opposite direction.
