Photographers capture moments; moments that pass by so quickly (too quickly sometimes\u2026).
\nHowever, photos have the power to preserve these kind of moments – to remind us of them in order to make them nearly unforgettable. Further, photos reveal even more; you get to see pure emotions of joy, grief, happiness, surprise, anger, excitement and fear or you even get to see a glimpse of very intimate moments for example.<\/p>\n

The New Yorker photographer Ken Regan, being well-known for his iconic shots and images of various famous sports, film and rock \u2019n roll legends such as the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan, is one of these people who are able to catch emotions in all their beauty. Regan accompanied various music giants such as Bob Dylan on his famous Rolling Thunder Revue in the 1970s.
\nIn order to pay tribute to this particular time in musical history, the photography book \u201cRolling Thunder: Photographs by Ken Regan\u201c<\/a>, contains many unseen images of this event and moments featured on 96 large format pages.<\/p>\n

Published forty years after the Rolling Thunder Revue, Regan’s impressive collection of images features not only black and white photographs but also unseen and very intimate moments due to Regan’s unlimited access.<\/p>\n

Rolling Thunder: Photographs by Ken Regan<\/a> is published by Ormond Yard Press<\/a> in March 2016. This is a Limited Edition of 750 individually numbered copies.<\/p>\n

Our world has so many beautiful sides and the world’s various landscapes are truly fascinating to many landscape photographers as we have already discussed in a previous post<\/a>.
\nAmerican fine-art photographer Catherine Opie, born and grown up in Ohio and specialised in portraiture, studio, and landscape photography, became well-known for her photographs of tattooed as well as transgender and homosexual people. The images below were part of her exhibition “Portraits and Landscapes”.<\/a><\/p>\n

“Interspersed with these commanding portraits are landscapes virtually abstract in their lack of detail. Unlike Opie\u2019s previous work in landscape portraiture the new photographs defy any recognition of their geographical location”.<\/p>\n
