We are all aware that London Fashion Week official commences today, but just around the corner is London Design Festival<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Seeking to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world, London Design Festival<\/a> commences across the capital from 16th<\/sup> – 24th<\/sup> September 2017.<\/p>\n

Here at .Cent we love to celebrate all things creative and if you can\u2019t make it to London Design Festival this year, here are ten forward thinking designers\u00a0who are breaking boundaries at this years festival:<\/p>\n

Micha\u00ebl Verheyden<\/a><\/strong>
\nBelgian designer and former model who once designed leather goods for Rick Owens, is now establishing himself as a designer of luxury interior accessories.<\/p>\n

In London, Verheyden is collaborating with the luxury British interiors brand, CTO Lighting, on a new collection made from alabaster and silver oxidized brass, called LUCID. Wanting the objects he owns to be of the highest quality, the proportions and details in Verheyden\u2019s designs are as important as the function of light, even when it\u2019s switched off.<\/p>\n

CTO Lighting<\/a><\/strong>
\nChris & Clare Turner, founders of CTO Lighting<\/a>, have kept a low profile in the world of interiors over the last twenty years whilst they have built their business. They have come to define luxury bespoke lighting with projects that span Chiltern Firehouse to the Rosewood Hotel. Cool but quiet.<\/p>\n

ONEROOM Gallery<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Founded by Milanese duo Vittorio Locatelli and Carlo Ninchi, ONEROOM Gallery have now landed in London in a four story Shoreditch warehouse.<\/p>\n

Filled to the rafters with rare and heritage pieces, think Gio Ponti, Fornasetti, Paul Evans plus the added bonus of supporting emerging talent – this September see them dedicate a floor to upcoming superstar Bethan Laura Wood.<\/p>\n

Bethan Laura Wood<\/a>
\n<\/strong>London-based designer Bethan Laura Wood’s work is driven by a fascination with the connection between humans and objects an original thinker whose approach defies predictability.<\/p>\n

Wood\u2019s work redefines everyday objects into new products that celebrate the contemporary urban landscape. Seen as a pop star of design, the designer herself attracts the eye with her eccentric and colourful look.<\/p>\n

Child Studio<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The London based designers behind Child Studio<\/a> presents a series of lighting objects, exploring the perception of reality and fantasy at Viaduct in Clerkenwell.<\/p>\n

The creative output of Chieh Huang and Alex Kostikov is infused with child-like wonder, innovation and freedom.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a><\/p>\n

Giopato & Coombes<\/a>
\n<\/strong>This Anglo-Italian duo (an architect and designer) run a multidisciplinary studio creating light magic. Beauty combined with brains. Elaborate shapes, handblown glass almost artworks with the added benefit of illumination.<\/p>\n

Giopato & Coombes will be showcasing their modern chandelier inspired by the circus trapeze as well as their Gioielli Wall Lights, a reference to the painstaking work of the goldsmith.<\/p>\n

Stac Architecture<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Concrete tiles might sound dull, but this enterprising architectural practice have come up with an original concept – a modular wall tile. Imagine being able to create an array of designs with one tile and then add in to the mix a variety of colours and finishes. Here you are only limited by your own imagination!<\/p>\n

Valerie Objects<\/a><\/strong>
\nAntwerp based company Valerie Objects is boundless in its discovery of exciting new homeware and furniture.<\/p>\n

Working with a list of designers who range from Muller Van Severen, Maarten Bass, The Alfred Collection and Chris Kabel, Valerie Objects continually challenge designers to explore and invent new territory to re-design.<\/p>\n

James Mair<\/a>
\n<\/strong>The man behind the supercool Viaduct<\/a> brand. Never one to sit on his laurels, he brings imagination and daring to the design table at his beautiful EC1 showroom.<\/p>\n

He is a man on a mission to import fresh new talent from around the world! Mair’s \u2018Punctuating Space\u2019 show during London Design Festival aims to create a study of how individual design elements can convey concepts an evoke feelings through colour, light and form.<\/p>\n

Ariane Prin<\/a><\/strong>
\nClever stick and mistress of materials with her Jesmonite and Rust collections, Ariane mixes molecules and experiments with waste to create exciting new work for her clients.<\/p>\n

Prin will be launching Rustiles, a new iteration of her Rust Series as well as\u00a0an installation for the Material of the Year stand at the 2017\u00a0London Design Fair (the trade destination of London Design Festival).<\/p>\n
