It\u2019s not that long ago I was harking on about the popularity of matte liquid lipsticks – December Hero 2018<\/a> to be exact and now it seems like uber shiny lips are on the rise with a vengeance.<\/p>\n

When I think of glossy lips I remember the 1990s lipgloss which everyone wore, it was the norm, ‘the glossier the better’ seemed to be the mantra.\u00a0 And before the present day phenomenon of fillers gloss\/shine was the goto lip enhancer it did the job pretty well – the only downfall was having to consistently check your lip line wasn\u2019t bleeding.\u00a0 I used to carry a big bag of them in my professional kit till I needed to lighten the load and something had to go.\u00a0 The gloss bag was sacrificed, I figured I could mix any lipstick with MAC Lip glass<\/a>\u00a0(LEGEND!) and gleam away! \u00a0 But as a consumer that\u2019s not very practical so I\u2019ve always kept a few around for special occasions but admittedly I’ve hardly used them if at all in the last few years.<\/p>\n

However, lip shine of 2019 pushes the stakes one step further with a glitter or metallic finish, referring to them as high shine is an understatement. \u00a0Some brands have joined together the benefits of liquid lipsticks – because of their non bleeding characteristic – with a metallic finish, be warned, you WILL be noticed.\u00a0 As a bold lipstick wearer myself even I have to muster all my confidence in wearing one of these latest\u00a0interpretations.<\/p>\n
