Increasingly being used by different people for cancer treatments and other medicinal or even beauty purposes, Cannabis is slowly becoming common. Although still illegal as pure marijuana in the UK, it is readily available in the form of Cannabidiol (CBD).<\/p>\n

CBD is one of over 100 compounds found in Cannabis. Extracted from the flower of the cannabis plants, it has been linked with various health benefits,\u00a0including therapeutic effects. CBD does not get you high\u00a0because it contains\u00a0lower levels of Tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC), which is the ‘high’ psychoactive part of the Cannabis plant and is removed from CBD products. Creams:<\/strong>\u00a0These are produced by fusing extracted oils of Cannabis or hemp with a topical base. Numerous studies support the notion that CBD creams can assist in alleviating pain and reduce inflammation.<\/p>\n

Beers:<\/strong>\u00a0The classic drinks have been recreated with CBD instead of alcohol. The beer won\u2019t get you drunk or high, but it helps in regulating bodily functions; mood, appetite and pain for example.<\/p>\n

Coffee:<\/strong>\u00a0That morning cup of coffee could do more than just help you wake up. The strong flavour of the coffee is likely to overpower the taste of CBD oil and leave behind the health benefits. Some even believe that it can counter the negative side-effects of caffeine.<\/p>\n

Dog treats:<\/strong>\u00a0CBD is not limited to humans. As companies continue to look for possible CBD-infused products, they\u2019ve ventured into creating food for dogs. These treats retain the relaxing effects.<\/p>\n

Shiona Redmond, one of the founders of CBD skincare brand Graces London, became interested in the benefits of Cannabis after her terminally ill father was asked to be a part of UK Cannabis medicinal trial in 2004.
