Following the family\ntradition, Benjamin\u2019s brother and mother also helped evolve the dream, whilst Michel\ntook on the role of the \u2018nose\u2019 behind the collection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The boutique\nthat opened in Rue de S\u00e9vign\u00e9, is not only remarkable in its design; open, airy\nand minimal, but also offers a unique experience. The bottles of perfume are created\nright in front of your eyes, just like the laboratories back in Grasse. The Perfumes\nare set out within the shop elegantly with staff on hand for any customer\u2019s\nneeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As for the\nbottles? Just as chic. Petite and simple. They are communicated without flashy designs;\nthe raw materials tell the story. The brand logo tops off the modern and\nstylish appeal of this brand \u2013 a floral looking design that is in-fact inspired\nby perfume blotters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are a brand that produce a minimalist perfume, meaning they use fewer ingredients than most. This used to be considered cheap but recently it has been proven that the use of short formulas shows a level of balance that pulls out the best of each ingredient. This is also considered one of the most difficult ways of constructing perfume. On top of that, every bottle shows a number that indicates how many stages or \u2018modifications\u2019 were needed to give the perfume balance – ranging from 8 to 126 (commercial perfumes can require up to 5,000!). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The names\nof the perfumes are striking and evocative. They tell us exactly how Michel\nwants us to feel. For instance, \u2018Guimauve de No\u00ebl \/ 31\u2019 translating to \u2018Christmas\nMarshmallow\u2019 gives a charming snapshot of Michels childhood memories and\nfestive treats \u2013 scents of orange and vanilla. So idyllic. \u2018Flavia Vanilla \/ 82\u2019\nis not only a fantastic name but a delicious sweet treat. It is also darkly\nseductive. Benjamin\u2019s particular favourite is \u2018Une Tonne de Roses \/ 8\u2019 which he\nbelieves is \u2018the magnificence of my father\u2019s career working with\nroses. It\u2019s not heavy or powdery, it is as light as nature can be.\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Parle Moi\nde Parfum\u2019s latest release again shows how using a small ratio of ingredients has\nthe ability to astonish. This is true for \u2018Gardens of India \/ 79\u2019 which\ncombines and celebrates three beautiful scents that are typical of India \u2013\njasmine, tuberose and sandalwood. It is only what I can imagine walking through\nthe Gardens of India smells like. The scent is romantic, dynamic and\nrefreshing, exactly what you want from a floral scent. It is a difficult balance to acquire and pays\nhomage to the twenty years that Michal spent polishing the formula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another\nfragrance recently released by Parle Moi de Parfum is \u2018Saffron Wood \/ 91\u2019 which\nsimilarly pairs three unique ingredients giving it a strikingly distinct smell.\nThe fragrance pulls together the floral but spicy notes of saffron with the\ngentle drafts of rose and calming cedarwood. The minimal ingredients are skilfully\nand artfully blended producing a unique woody scent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
