Tramp? Tat?  Know these words? For more than 5000 years, cultures all over the world have embedded permanent dyes in their bodies, making these, yes, tattoos one of the earliest forms of visual art. From mystical figures, animals, and gods to modern-day cartoons, the art of ink has evolved manifolds.&nbsp;This piece explores a little of the Art of Tattoos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The word Tattoo was actually derived from the Tahitian word \u2018Tatau\u2019 meaning to mark something. With the car it was about the way the bodywork changes shape over the framework,\u201d said Claudia who used a pure white car as her \u2018canvas\u2019 swapping the fine tattooing needle with a Dremel drill.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This strict one-of-a-kind interpretation of the UX compact SUV, took six months to complete, from the initial drawings, with the \u201ctattooing\u201d accomplished over five eight-hour days of intensive work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"213\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/pastedImagebase640.png?resize=580%2C213\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"73195\" data-full-url=\"http:\/\/centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/pastedImagebase640.png\" data-link=\"http:\/\/centmagazine.co.uk\/?attachment_id=73195\" class=\"wp-image-73195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/pastedImagebase640.png?w=965&amp;ssl=1 965w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/pastedImagebase640.png?resize=300%2C110&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/staging.centmagazine.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/pastedImagebase640.png?resize=768%2C282&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perfectionism, diligence and discipline are prominent traits of all takumi.  Claudia who teamed with her Japanese-born husband Yutaro created a design that bought the best of both worlds, they drew two Koi carps along the length of the entire vehicle, streamlined in such a way that it would create the illusion of the Koi swimming.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Japanese culture, the Koi fish symbolize good luck, abundance and perseverance. Today the fish are also considered to be symbolic of advancement, both materially and spiritually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Claudia also applied five litres of high-quality car paint by hand to bring out the details and used gold leaf to create highlights and give the design a stronger 3D effect, before the whole vehicle was given a protective lacquer coating so that it can be driven on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tattoos since ancient times have been used as a form of self-expression. The warrior clans and chieftains often used tattoo art to showcase their might in battles. &nbsp;Tattoo in todays world is a part of ones identity.
