Established in 1870 in London as a barbershop, it quickly grew to be an outstanding individualist perfume destination. For the first time in the brand’s history, Penhaligon’s announces the opening of its private archives in London. This exclusive exhibition invites visitors on a journey through time, scent, and craftsmanship, revealing the artistry, legacy, and innovation that have defined the house for generations.

Titled Eau So British, the exhibition brings together never-before-seen artefacts, early archive items, and intimate sketches from the brand’s founding visionaries. From the first fragrance that defined an era to the raw materials that shaped long-standing bestsellers, this is a rare glimpse behind the curtain of the fragrance house.

The exhibition is curated with both long-time admirers and new generations in mind, offering moments of discovery at every turn, including a boutique gift shop featuring limited-edition items inspired by the archives.

The brand was forever and still is a rule breaker and a taste maker, so this is more than a look back, it’s an invitation to experience the artistry and evolution of the brand and a personal glimpse inside its inner workings. Ohh and have a good old nosey too.
