With the goal of modernising the apothecary experience, Brendan Murdock launched Anatomē in London in 2018. His interest in botanicals, and essential oils, alongside his creative spirit, drew him into a deeper research of wellness. Using an expert team of Aromacologists and nutritionists, Anatomē combines the very best of nature and science to restore calm to our lives.

‘I wanted to create a brand that can engage with our community, to talk about feeling better, at ease. I couldn’t find a place like that, so I created my own: a place people can go to for well-being advice, sleep tips, get help to focus on daily activities and find support to move better, improve gut health, unwind, and navigate transformations that come with the ageing process.’

Aromatherapy for the Modern Age. Perfume healing, or the therapeutic use of scents, has been practiced for centuries. Aromatherapy utilises essential oils and natural fragrances to improve physical and mental health.

Each of Anatomē’s perfumes are named after the emotion it aims to evoke, harnessing the power of specific ingredients to achieve its purpose.

Balance – To foster a sense of balance and stability, Anatomē uses anchoring scents like Rose, Bergamot, and Saffron balanced by Black Spruce. Known for its stress-relieving effects, Bergamot allows you to feel comforted, safe and supported.

Expression – Encouraging self-expression and creativity, the Expression perfume features ingredients such as Sea Moss, Sea Salt, and Seaweed, native to the coast, to support mindfulness, breathing and communication. Known for balancing emotions, Patchouli is used to promote tranquillity.
