The Secret Skincare Ritual: Better Circulation and Extra Glow Guaranteed
[publishpress_authors_box]
The leaves of a tree fall in autumn, only to bloom again in spring. Flowers fade, then return brighter, stronger, and renewed. What about our bodies? They’re capable of rebirth each time we care for them: When we brush away dead skin, apply soothing masks, or massage with creams and lotions to keep the skin smooth and nourished. It’s all about care, about choosing to be kind to ourselves, to our bodies. The body brush is a simple tool for the skin. A body brush? It isn’t just a tool to exfoliate dead skin: it stimulates your lymphatic system by helping the body release toxins through sweat, boosts circulation by increasing the flow of oxygen-rich blood to nourish and repair, and helps the body naturally detox. It helps improve sleep, and reduces puffiness, too.
And beyond the physical benefits, it’s a mindful moment of self-connection. It’s a daily act of care, reminding you that looking after yourself isn’t a luxury, but a quiet, powerful way to reclaim your energy and confidence.
In just 4 minutes a day, brushing offers an energising, spa-like ritual that wakes up both your skin and senses. It’s considered a “post-massage glow” without leaving the house.
Julia Tissot-Gaillard (CEO of Altesse Studio) and Rebecca Trévalinet (lymphatic drainage specialist) created a body brush that combines traditional craftsmanship with the needs of modern self-care rituals.
“When I understood how brushing can move beyond beauty and support the body with intention, it became a whole new mission”,
Julia Tissot-Gaillard
The Altesse Studio Vitalis Body Brush is effective, precise, and skin-respectful, compared to brushes on the market that are often too harsh or too soft.
Every detail was carefully designed: from bristle alignment and tension to the shape of the handle and the tufting technique. Tufting means inserting bristles one by one, ensuring perfect balance of softness, resilience, and density.
“The result is a brush that feels completely tailored to the body”,
Julia Tissot-Gaillard
To assure comfort and an outstanding glow, Altesse Studio created two types of brushes: one for balanced skin, and another for sensitive skin, differing in bristle, texture and length.
The olive wood handle adapts to vertical or horizontal strokes, which is essential for lymphatic drainage.
But do you know how to use a body brush correctly?
Start by brushing each leg from bottom to top, always moving towards the heart. On your stomach, use gentle circular clockwise motions. When brushing your back, move in circles or upwards as far as you can reach. Brush your arms from fingertips to shoulders, including underarms, and be gentle on your chest and neck. After brushing, don’t forget to shower or bathe to wash off dead skin cells. Finally, apply body lotion or oil immediately after showering to moisturise and nourish your skin.
The body brush isn’t just a beauty tool, but it’s a moment of pause, a reconnection to self. It’s a quiet ceremony of renewal, where each gentle stroke whispers care and respect to your skin.
“It offers a moment of mental release… It’s a quiet thank you to your entire system”,
Rebecca Trévalinet
In this simple ritual, you invite your body to awaken softly, embracing the delicate dance between self-love and mindfulness.
