A Delicious Couture Collaboration in Time for Christmas 25
It’s building up to Christmas, and the air is already filling with anticipation. Today, Johnnie Walker, the world’s number one Scotch Whisky opens the Johnnie Walker Vault Boutique at Harrods, a three-week pop-up that debuts The Couture Blend and The Couture Flask in collaboration with Olivier Rousteing, the French fashion designer and creative director of Balmain since 2011. This new collaboration is all about where one type of couture meets with another
Johnnie Walker Vault Boutique at Harrods
This is a limited-edition whisky created with Master Blender Dr Emma Walker, while The Couture Flask is a refillable mixed-metal accessory designed to be worn and carry a 10 ml pour. Open until 25 October 2025, Harrods, the most famous luxury boutique in Knightsbridge, is the only location in Europe where the designer flask can be purchased. So now is the time to pounce.
As much as it is a beautiful spectacle, it is also an immersive experience. Throughout the residency at Harrods, guests can explore a range of experiences, from masterclasses that delve into the component whiskies and layered aromas of The Couture Blend or opt for shorter guided discovery tastings.
Visitors can elevate their purchase with exclusive on-site customisation options, including a bespoke Blue Label bottle stopper by Rousteing and an elegant The Couture Blend bottle collar; a rather unique experience.
The Couture Blend
The Couture Blend, this made-to-measure, if you like, marks the second launch from Johnnie Walker Vault and Olivier Rousteing, and pays homage to personal evolution, fearless artistry and creative tension.
The blend was conceived in the Johnnie Walker Vault, a creative atelier launched earlier this year that is hidden beneath Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh. Crafted with Master Blender Dr Emma Walker, Johnnie Walker Vault brings together bespoke whiskies, immersive experiences and collaborations with cultural icons under one visionary umbrella.
The Couture Blend follows the inaugural limited-edition release from the Johnnie Walker Vault, The Couture Expression, a collaboration that introduced the partnership’s aesthetic and set a new benchmark for the series.
The Couture Blend: a signature homage to progress
Imagined by Rousteing as the centrepiece of his collection with Johnnie Walker Vault, The Couture Blend is a liquid manifesto of style, balance and spirit with experimentation and progress at its heart.
Master Blender Dr Emma Walker
Master Blender Dr Emma Walker selected ten whiskies from a Vault liquid library of 500 rare and exceptional whiskies, personally curated and rotated from the very best of 10 million casks available to her.
The composition brings together ghost whiskies from long‑closed distilleries such as Port Dundas and Caledonian, trailblazing malts from the 1980s and 1990s, including such lumaries as Benrinnes, Cragganmore and Cameronbridge, and contemporary expressions from Cardhu, Roseisle and Teaninich.
As an homage to Rousteing’s 40th birthday, Emma layered in several whiskies of at least 40 years old, creating a dynamic tension of flavour and style that pushes the boundaries of what a luxury Scotch whisky can be.
“I was very much inspired by Olivier’s story of progress over the last forty years, from his early years of self‑discovery to his modern‑day unapologetic and daring approach to creativity. In this special blend, I leaned into some of the most progressive and experimental whiskies from the past, and of modern times, whiskies that push the boundaries of flavour just as Olivier pushes the boundaries in couture,”

The Couture Blend Decanter: A Bold, New Whisky Silhouette
Rousteing’s architectural bottle design merges tradition with reinvention, reinterpreting Johnnie Walker’s iconic square codes in pure crystal with prominent shoulders and a lavishly oversized square stopper.
A full echo of his design aesthetic, it is dressed in gold and offered in a limited allocation, the decanter echoes Rousteing’s signature tailoring while staying true to the house’s heritage. Only 1,500 individually numbered crystal decanters will be produced globally. This becomes a rather unique collectable item from the two.
“I wanted to create something that captures the tension between minimalism and maximalism, that sparks conversation and curiosity, and that is anchored in the present but feels futuristic and timeless at the same time. I loved playing with the paradox of pure crystal and decadent gold and finishing the decanter with the oversized crystal stopper. For such a unique whisky which blends old with new and traditional with experimental, it felt like the perfect, unexpected piece of art to treasure it,”

Introducing The Couture Flask: Reinventing the Rules
As a final statement for this showcase, Rousteing introduces The Couture Flask with Johnnie Walker Vault, a striking reimagining of the whisky flask for contemporary luxury.
The refillable piece holds 10 ml of The Couture Blend. Sculpted in mixed gold and silver metals and set on a removable chain, it can be worn crossbody or styled on an outfit or accessory. Inside the Johnnie Walker Vault Boutique, guests are invited to an elegant photo booth experience that creates portraits with The Couture Flask, inspired by Rousteing’s refined modern aesthetic.
Could this be the perfect Christmas experience and gift all in one?
The Johnnie Walker Vault Boutique opens at Harrods.com on Friday, 3 October, a 3-week pop-up celebrating The Couture Blend and The Couture Flask created with Olivier Rousteing and Master Blender Dr Emma Walker.
