Just like the magpies and bower birds, we humans are entranced by glittery shimmery sparkly things, which is why also love to treasure shiny metals and sparkly natural things. We also love a bit of artificial glitter and see them as festive and pretty. The sight of the sun glittering on snow or sea is beautiful and lifts our spirits, so it is good to know there is lots of shimmer this season in make-up. Gold, Silver, Sparkles, Glitter shimmer, pearlised we love it all. Is it the light in them that lifts our spirits? Light is, after all just electromagnetic waves, think of it as travelling energy in the form of vibrations.
