A Juicy Miss Dior, Here and Ready to Fall in Love With
In 1947, Christian Dior debuted the acclaimed New Look collection. A turning point and a real fashion moment. After the shortages and glumness of the war years, the Parisian designer reminded all that it was time to live and be free again. Alongside the show, he created a perfume that he sprayed inside as guests walked into the salon before the show. It was called Miss Dior, a floral chypre with floral hits of white flowers, including regal Jasmine. The latest iteration of Miss Dior by Francis Kurkdjian also celebrates this flower, but here she is joined by the modern juiciness of lively, light-filled fruit. The newest flanker of Miss Dior explores exactly the free spirit set about by the master couturier himself when he created the New Look in 1947. But 2025 brings with it a modern new spirit; sexy, evocative, irreverent, bright and vital; Miss Dior 2025 is no glove-wearing lady.

In-house perfumer Francis Kurkdjian takes on the mantle, bringing a playful future Miss Dior to the fore. He says of the new scent
My Miss Dior is rather like contemporary girls… intense and concentrated, it leaves a vivid, addictive scent behind that is hyper-feminine, but also refuses anything that might hinder freedom.
Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creation Director
Here, the elixir is concentrated; it is the very spirit of the impetuous, freedom-loving, freedom-spirited, light-spirited modern woman.
This is the pop art brightness of perfume, opening with an almost rebellious spirit, with juicy Blackberries. Not just a sweet and tangy, fruity aroma, with added nuances that are deep, musky, jammy and utterly joyous. This succulent opening is joined in partnership with Elderflower, bringing different juicy facets alongside soft florals.
Its heart is true, sincere, and forever fulfilled with the eternally elegant Jasmine Sambac. Her very core is rich, opulent, with wisps of sweet, musky, and heady white florals that also echo back the fruity notes at the top; a most intensely feminine note.

The liveliness is also hinted at via its wooden base, but again, this Jasmine Sambac is the melding point of both top and base as it hints at animalic honeyed notes that sit here with dark woods from oak; robust with a hug of vanilla softness.
The range of Miss Dior Perfumes is so significant that in 2013 it was the subject of an 2013 exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris. Still to this day, a perfume with many iterations has the ability to keep its modernity, its vital spirit, albeit with new iterations, alive, kicking and full of beautiful life.
Miss Dior Essence is available from 1st September 2025 From £93 for 35ml, diorbeauty.com
