Boho revival & romantic lace

Runways from Chloé to Isabel Marant and even Ralph Lauren showed that bohemian-inspired maxis and ruffled cuts are making a comeback. Now, these boho dresses lean into velvet textures and layered, jewel-toned lace for that perfect autumnal richness.

There are ochre tones and dramatic black and dark blue dresses. Imagine a midnight green lace maxi with velvet lapels and classic creamy boho pieces teamed with biker jackets and maximalist necklaces.

This is the trend we knew but reimagined for the 2020s.

Tailoring 2.0 & ’80s Power Dressing

You’ll feel that sharp confidence again as structured jackets with gentle padding, pencil skirts and soft, tailored wide-leg trousers return to the scene. Think of ’80s power dressing reimagined with modern proportions and gentler fabrics.

Vogue has labelled this as Tailoring 2.0. It retains the structure, but it’s softer, more wearable than the spiky silhouettes of its predecessors. These are structured coats with nipped-in waistlines, oversized blazers at the office and wide-leg, mid-weight trousers for brunch at the weekend.

Colour palette: Mocha Mousse, plum & rich browns

Pantone’s Colour of the Year is Mocha Mousse, a soft, warming brown that evokes chocolate and coffee – the perfect comforting tone for autumnal days. This shade is everywhere, from knitwear and accessories to women’s dresses.

It blends beautifully with damson plum, deep olive and scarlet accents, and makes layering feel naturally sophisticated. You might reach for a mocha-toned cardigan, then wear complementary-coloured rich plum gloves or an olive scarf to bring matte depth to your outfit. It’s effortless, elegant and season-right for walks or meeting friends.

Denim, faux fur & statement textures

Skinny jeans might sit at the back of the wardrobe now, as you reach for bootcut, dark-wash denim that gives easy structure to an ensemble. Inky indigo is a particularly popular trending colour for these jeans.

Faux fur trims remain front-and-centre for ethical yet tactile outerwear and padded or quilted jackets in earthy tones are everywhere this season – a cosy statement that still reads polished.
