How To Party In Style: Victoria Shoes 110th Anniversary

For their 110th anniversary, Spanish Company Victoria shoes had a massive party with beautiful, winter-style decorations and bustling music to celebrate years of success from what started in 1915 as a simple token of love.

For those who didn’t know already, before Victoria became the international business it is today, it all started in a small village in La Rioja, Spain. A man by the name Gregorio had the idea to create a sneaker for his first love, and wife. She was called Victoria.

Trademark Symbol

Victoria’s shoes have an iconic ‘V’ insignia on them, and the oldest example they still have is at least from 50 years ago.

The example shoe, signed in Logroño 1977, even proves that Victoria was the first brand to use a ‘V’ decorative element; this proves that they’re the true ‘V’.

History of Shoes

Victoria has developed massively over the past 100 years, but it’s still managed to stay true to their traditional manufacturing method: a vulcanisation process where rubber is ‘baked’ directly onto the shoes, cut to form an extremely durable bond.

Not only this, but Victoria Shoes stays true to their roots, making each pair by hand, one by one.

The event on the 23rd of October 2025 felt like a winter love story. Not just an ode to the romance between Gregorio and his first love all the way back in 1915, but also a romance between people and shoes.

Shoe designs had been carefully selected and placed on massive, white pillow-like surfaces. With concentrated blue light throughout the venue, it felt like walking through a snowy mountain; pictures that had been taken in the snow were propped up next to pairs of shoes.

Music echoed throughout the venue, whilst many people explored the piles of snow-like blocks framing the iconic shoes.

A grand 4-tier silver cake and a dazzling disco ball were the perfect accents to this party. From what started as an idea of a gift from one man to his wife, to what is now an internationally renowned product, Victoria Shoes celebrated its 110th anniversary in style.
