What is Hexane

Hexane is a colourless, flammable, organic solvent, a chemical formula that is derived from crude oil. It is primarily used in the food industry to extract vegetable oils from seeds, as a cleaning and degreasing agent, and in the production of glues and other consumer products. It is also used ot extrait essences from flora and fauna and is commonly found in many beauty products. However, as it is part of the making of beauty ingredients, it is not listed in product ingredients, as it is used in the stage before making items. While it is highly effective due to its low polarity, it can cause health and environmental issues with prolonged or high exposure. Think of it like a little poison floating about in our beauty products and our food.

Now, for a maker who does not just want a clean but highly elegant perfume, this is not a product she wants to include. In fact, Rebecca went to the far edges of the world to source the very best ingredients; There is no way she wanted them spoiled by ugly crude oil.

Now, this is not always a bad thing, because some ingredients are not available naturally. However, sometimes using synthetics is a cheap way to make an expensive scent. And there is a HUGE difference in the grade of perfumed notes. A synthetic rose can never be as good as a natural Rose, but even with naturals, there will be a grade and then a super grade. And so Rebecca, of course, went for the highest quality flora oils to create this remarkable perfume. She chose to use the first and finest distillation of each of the flowers. Also, she knows her producers so enabling her to track oils from source to bottle.

So not only is the perfume made with the best ingredients, the best intentions, and the best spirit, it is a heavenly scent too.
