What to eat? Love a bit of Curry at Christmas
In the UK at this time of year, we know the standard fare. In the lead up to the big day, we munch our way through several million mince pies, over 100 million pigs in blankets, and that’s before Christmas day. By the time we do sit down to the traditional meal, it’s hardly a surprise. We do love it as a tradition, although mixing up different ethnic variations is more and more common in Britain, maybe your table also has Jolif rice, curried Goat or even fried rice. However, by day three, we are usually in dire need of something completely different. And what do we love a huge amount? Curry, of course. Well, the great news this season is that Gymkhana Fine Foods has created amazing ready-made home sauces. Find out more in What to eat? Love a bit of Curry at Christmas
Traditional Christmas Food
Well, we know it’s likely to be made up of Turkey, roast Potatoes, Brussels sprouts, Pigs in Blankets, and so the usual suspects await us. We do love it, but after a few days of turkey, turkey sandwiches and turkey flombay we need a change.
Something different to eat at Christmas
Imagine a table brimming with vibrant Indian dishes: plates being passed, laughter around the table, flavours layered with care and skill. This is the signature experience of Siddharth Ahuja, Executive Chef of Gymkhana, London’s two Michelin-starred Indian restaurant.
The Sethi story
The Sethi siblings, two brothers and a sister with no background in food, started by opening the restaurant Trishna in 2008, followed in 2012 with Gymkhana, both of which are Michelin-starred establishments. The food is inspired by trips home to the Indian family, where they fell in love with authentic dishes.
Michelin-Starred Food at Home
Gymkhana has launched Gymkhana Fine Foods, a range of sauces, marinades, and chutneys designed to bring the Michelin-star experience into your home, perfect for festive dinners, intimate gatherings, or sophisticated dinner parties
