March Into Spring with Beautiful Skin Fashion
Our theme for March, Skin, explores ideas of surface, protection, and transformation. With the arrival of spring, this marks our final look at the Autumn/Winter 25/26 collections and the beginning of springing into a new season with some collections from Spring Summer 26. Through this theme, we focus on leather pieces within these collections, examining how these designers use texture and silhouette to create distinctive and compelling looks. Leather becomes more than just a material; it acts as a second skin, shaping and defining the body.

This collection for Kith Women is designed by global artist and actress Lalisa Manobal. The Spring collection features Hera Convertible Leather Coat, crafted from pure lambskin leather, which features multiple zip-off seams designed for versatile, transitional wear. Combining this with the Brei embellished bolero jacket and Deion studded denim combine forces to create bold but cohesive looks, ulimatley intricate and feminine finish.
Injections of leather into this collection from Gabriela Hearst are created via powerful silhouettes, all while creating powerful yet feminine looks. The newly released Ohio sneaker reflects Gabriela Hearst’s core commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability. All of the leather used in the Ohio is sourced from a tannery certified by the Leather Working Group.
“This collection feels sophisticated and raw,” says Hearst, “And nothing is more sophisticated and raw than nature itself.”
Elegance is a state of mind as much as it is the presence of the body for Fall–Winter 2025. Small, tailored jackets inspired by ceremonial wardrobes are crafted from tactile materials. Coats and jackets made from leather, suede, or shearling further enhance and reinterpret classic wardrobe staples.
Recomposed by Benji B, the sounds and voices emerge like a dream—forming a slow, swirling vortex that feels both reassuring and intentional. Echoing this atmosphere, black leather jackets, steel studs, and eyelets punctuate the garments throughout. Creating contrasts—opposing elements, varied textures, and tactile sensation.
Zimmermann’s fall 2025 collection, titled Hypnotic, is one that challenges the idea of a mood. Fabrics include shimmering velvets, shearling, Victorian-style smocking, and soft layers of sheer organza set against structured tailoring, leather-trimmed riding pieces, and earthy hues drawn from the Australian landscape. All elements come together to form a collection that, while diverse in texture and fabric, maintains a strong sense of cohesion.
The atmosphere for SS26 is one created by appearing as belonging to another timeline. The result is a collection that exists beyond a single era, occupying a timeless realm where history and futurism coexist as if it were their natural habitat. Dome-shouldered coats cinch at the waist and extend at the hips, creating a striking, armour-like silhouette. Crafted from buffed, skived leather, the pieces echo the structure of medieval battle gear.
For the Autumn/Winter ’25 season, Osprey London marks 45 years of leathercraft excellence. Celebrating timeless style and a deep-rooted passion for leather. Blending heritage with modern sensibility, the Autumn/Winter range is crafted to evolve with contemporary life while ageing beautifully over time.
I’ve always found freedom in painting—it’s where I can express myself through movement and fluidity. For this collection, I drew the colours from five of my paintings, blending the freedom of brushstrokes with the structure of design. The collection is deeply personal, while also reflecting the spaces, landscapes, and people that have shaped me. I carefully selected cow hides that evoke the feel of a horse’s clipped fur—smooth, slightly oily, and rich in texture. It’s a vegetable-tanned, waxed leather that develops a beautiful patina over time, much like the landscapes of my childhood. All of the leather we use is veg-tan and a by-product of the meat industry, ensuring sustainability.
Erdem explores an imagined dialogue between artist and subject. Kaye’s portraits of women—whether historical figures or anonymous muses—capture emotions as much as likeness. The collection features archetypal feminine silhouettes, and although leather is not a main focus, its looks are striking. Accessories are the key with the introduction of The Bloom Bag’s gold-toned flower bud handle, which takes seven hours to produce using the lost wax casting method made from 100% Calf Leather.
For Spring/Summer 2026, Salvatore Santoro highlights leather as an expression of elegance. Each piece showcases exceptional craftsmanship, where natural imperfections are embraced as part of the material’s beauty, reflecting the authenticity and care behind its creation.
