The New Fragrance by Commodity: Beautiful Patisserie in a Bottle
The favourite Parisian café, sitting outside, a calm autumn day, the low sunlight drifts across the street, softly touching skin with a comforting warmth. A coffee sits on the table, sip it alongside the custard fig tart, delicate, sweet, jammy and melting in the mouth. Its smooth, baked, creamy texture slowly expands on the palette. A touch of velvet vanilla adds even more lightness, enhancing the sweet, honeyed and velvety ‘notes’ of the tart. A feeling of joy encompasses the moment, one that stays all day. This is an essence, a French patisserie captured in a new fragrance called Milk Orchid from Commodity; find out more here in The New Fragrance by Commodity: Beautiful Patisserie in a Bottle.

Emma Vernon Perfume
We may well know this moment, a happy place that stays with you through the day, a creamy, sweet warmth that speaks to the soul. Maybe you could take it further than just one day? Well, now you can via a new perfume from Commodity called Milk Orchid, which initially started as a limited-edition and co-creation with content creator Emma Vernon, but now, as it has been so loved, it has been added to the permanent collection.
Niche Perfume
The niche American fragrance House Commodity captured the very essence of a sweet tart in the sunshine in this co-creation. The fragrance is a lactonic-floral composition that melts into the skin.
Milk Orchid
The jammy and creamy Fig Milk, light airy cream of Coconut, alongside delicate, floral, creamy, nutty notes of Almond Blossom open the scent, bringing a luminous, creamy and soft sensation, with a touch of liveliness. Then creamy, floral, almost jasmine-like notes of Vanilla Orchid and soft floral with a hint of brightness from facets of lemon via Magnolia add yet more airy, floral elegance with a touch of adult sweetness to the elixir. Finally, to complete this beautiful journey, the Macadamia Milk and Sandalwood scent adds a comforting, warm, woody and cashmere-like effect on the skin. Together, these notes create the perfect balance between soft sweetness, freshness and warmth, without ever becoming overpowering. Rich and intoxicating without being overtly sweet. It feels intimate, comforting and elegant.

Commodity Perfume
Created with Perfumer Christelle Laprade in co-creation with Emma Vernon, content creator from Perfumerism, Milk Orchid was inspired by her vision of the ideal modern lactonic fragrance.
‘I wanted something ethereal, irresistible, and totally different from what I had smelled before. So we created Milk Orchid! ‘

The brand stands for authenticity as all of their fragrances are created with high-quality and natural ingredients, and because of this (and like any great perfume) the scents will settle slightly differently on each skin.
Unique in Niche perfumery
The uniqueness of both the brand and the fragrance is also shown in the way they consider the power of perfume and how people may wish to express this. They offer three different versions of the scents depending on your preferences; Personal, Expressive, and Bold. Milk Orchid, at this moment in time and now that it is added back as a permanent scent, is only available as an ‘expressive’.
If you prefer something more discreet and intimate, then ‘Personal’ is the right choice for you. By contrast, if you don’t want to be discreet, need a strong scent to fill the room and everyone else with you, ‘Bold’ would suit you better. Somewhere in between is the ‘Expressive’ one, a fragrance both you and the people around you can enjoy, making it perfect for everyday wear.
This modern approach of Commodity is reflected in the brand’s minimalist and simple design aesthetic, embodying the idea that niche is chic; that true niche perfumes stand for the ‘juice’ inside rather than overtly designed packaging.
Milk Orchid is an expression of a glorious moment, of an intimate time with the self, yet now that moment is bottled to be reminded with a spritz of the bottle just how marvellous it was; oh and whenever you want to be reminded.
